Centreville's junior high cross country teams raced for the second day in a row on Thursday at the St. Joseph County meet in Sturgis, and the back-to-back meets didn't slow them down. Both teams placed third, and nine Bulldogs earned top-20 medals. The boys scored 65 points behind Three Rivers (23) and Sturgis (42), ahead of Constantine, White Pigeon and Colon. Grayson Miller was 10th in 12:40.3, Zachary Kline 11th, Jackson Brown 14th, Zaden Porter 17th and Malakai Zinke 18th — five medalists. The girls scored 81 points, third behind Three Rivers (21) and Sturgis (34) and ahead of Constantine and Colon. Tara Peters was 11th, Regina Miller 14th with a season best, Evie Wolff 16th, and Eliot Harker took the last medal in 20th — four medalists. Eight runners ran personal bests: Aiden Pierucki, Zaden Porter, Jackson Friesen, Dezmond Albarran, Grayson Miller, Lincoln Day, Owen Prescott and Chase Schabes.
