Will Hulin broke the Centreville school record on Thursday night, running 15:54.14 to win the race at the Teske Invitational in Hartford, and the boys cross country team won the meet for their second team title of the season. The boys scored 25 points. Gobles was next at 64. Centreville put four runners in the top six — Hulin first, Max Reed third in 16:51.95, Nick Overweg fourth in 16:55.85, and Will Swanwick sixth in 17:16.74. The girls placed fourth as a team with 78 points, six points behind Hartford. Fifteen Bulldogs medaled. Girls - Addison Johnson 3rd, Emily Falkenstein 8th, Katelyn Trattles 17th, Norah Lammon 26th. Boys - Will Hulin 1st, Max Reed 3rd, Nick Overweg 4th, Will Swanwick 6th, Tanner Bingaman 15th, Drew Swanwick 17th, Landon Weis 18th, Bryce Hekter 21st, Corban Brueck 25th, Oliver Mildenberg 27th, Gavin Brueck 30th. Personal bests went to Emily Falkenstein, Katelyn Trattles, Cora Peters, and Adalyn Logan on the girls' side, and to Will Hulin, Will Swanwick, Drew Swanwick, Tanner Bingaman, Corban Brueck, Gavin Brueck, and Cooper Anderson on the boys'. Hulin's record came three weeks after he opened the season at 16:04. Records usually fall by a tick. This one fell by ten seconds, in September, with the whole season still ahead.
