Volleyball played three matches Wednesday night at Buchanan and came home with a comeback win over Saugatuck. That first match was the one to see. Down a set 15-25, the Bulldogs answered with 25-10 and closed it out 25-22 — a set they had every reason to lose and didn't. Cassopolis went the other way. Centreville took the opening set 25-18 before dropping the next two, 20-25 and 15-25. Host Buchanan finished the night in two, 25-16 and 25-14. One win, two losses, and five of the eight sets played were decided by seven points or fewer. This group can win the close ones — Saugatuck proved that. Stringing three of them together on the same night is the next step.
